One of my favorite things to make while traveling or staying somewhere temporarily is a simple “use what you have” recipe and this Crunchy Herb Cabbage Slaw turned out way better than expected.
We were staying at rental house for the week and had bought steak seasoning for burgers and steaks, but didn’t have a full lineup of spices on hand. Instead of overthinking it, I tossed a little into this slaw dressing and honestly… it worked perfectly. The seasoning added that savory, garlicky flavor that usually takes several different spices to create.
This slaw is fresh, crunchy, tangy, and loaded with herbs from the parsley and dill. The mayo gives it just enough creaminess without making it heavy, and the cabbage stays crisp for days, which makes it perfect for meal prep or easy weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
1 red cabbage, chopped

4 green onions, chopped
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped

1 teaspoon steak seasoning

Chop the cabbage, green onions, parsley, and dill and add them to a large bowl.

Add the olive oil, lemon juice, white vinegar, mayo, salt, pepper, and steak seasoning.

Mix everything together well until the cabbage is evenly coated.
